   Can we normalize buying only 1-3 gifts for kids for the Holidays? I usually don't buy anything for my husband (he is Jewish), he doesn't get me anything. I buy few things for my teen son, and send few stuff to my son and his gf in Toronto. That's it. And we order Chinese food for Christmas day!

     @Yukari The only gifts we buy are food packages such as fresh fruit. Most gifts for adults turn out to be either something the recipient already has or something they don't want.

     @BertL I was just listening to a podcast and they were saying "-of the month" (cheese, fruits, flowers etc) are excellent gift so I might do that for my grown son!
