@coin 80 hours/week and no wfh? I’d be walking away too. wfh is probably the most important thing for me. Tech workers are in high demand, could just find somewhere else to work or even build a bigger and better product. Which I suspect many Twitter engineers will be doing. Musk is gonna be feeling like Nintendo after the PlayStation came out I bet.
@alex Fortunately Elon knows the difference between mission critical applications and the shit-show of twitter. It could go down for days and nothing comes of it. So a few raging narcissists can't get their daily affirmations. He's selling an addictive product, he knows what he's doing.
@alex Maybe it's to cover all the lost time on them shoving their thumbs up their asses with the previous administration. Of course I'll be with you if this is going to be the default hours for all time and not something temporary.
I'm enjoying watching the drama and freak-outs, and my bet is that Twitter is going to be ok. It was rotted through before, so whatever's happening now can't be worse. If Twitter breaks that's good, hopefully fecebook, tik tok, and the rest of mainstream social media will follow. And if it doesn't break, that's good too, it's already better than it was. Win-win either way.
