   I have this sneaking suspicion that this is the end point of making products not to last but to be cheap to build - ultimately you end up in a game of juicing profits by making things fail as fast as consumers will tolerate.

     @BadOptniks I don't think cost accounting is bad, I think it's a useful check on overly flamboyant designs. The problem is that people who like safety will gravitate towards running a company by it, rather than simple as a voice at a table.
