@matthew I plan on putting LMDE on a spare laptop I have for my girlfriend. She doesn't have a laptop and I don't really want to put Win11 or even Tiny10 on it. Rather stick to a Linux distro that's easy for beginners

  Agreed. I recommend the Linux Mint Debian Edition variant. It is my go to when I am installing Linux for someone switching from Windows.

    @fivespeed@fosstodon.org @malusdraco@sunny.garden I would heartily second the recommendation of Linux Mint. It's a great distro to get started with, and as an experienced Linux user, I find it's my favorite for stable desktop use.
