@bajax @gray @mischievoustomato it's not that they can't run linux, they're just not catered for linux like system76 is. A lot of people report compatibility problems (like you get with normal laptops) and battery life issues, USB/WiFi not working etc. - Forest of Enchantment likes this.

@wertimer @bajax @RustyCrab @gray Ironically, my laptop (cheapo asus vivobook 16), has supported linux greatly. Everything works, aside from the fingerprint reader bc the software for fingerprint readers is finnicky. My laptop also has the same tier of mediakek wifi, but alongside ram and nvme, it's replaceable. -
