     They're entirely predicated on the idea that following, or being followed by, 10,000 accounts rather than 100, is somehow other than a metric that has no meaning.

     @botvolution That's the thing that bugs me-that we're told fame is the ticket to a good life.
     In some people's minds, fame=money=immortality. Celebrity worship is such a crock of shit. Followers are numbers that don't exist. Many are bot accounts, too.

     The thing about bluesky starter packs is that they mostly are just follow lists of thousands of - e.g. - BlueMAGA or FBPE accounts, they're just used for follow farming.
     celebrity or fame just aren't part of what they are about.
