   when people say stuff like this, i wonder if they read the books or are just repeating something they heard from someone else who didn't read them. hari seldon expected his interns to solve 12-dimensional integral equations, while presumably being able to do much harder math in his head. the "pocket calculator" he was using was a pocket supercomputer.
