Yesterday, I played my saxophone again after 6 months of not touching it. I find it challenging to practice in an apartment. I took about 30 min playing all the notes to warm up again for my lesson. I can no longer hit the really high notes, but I know with practice I’ll get there soon. My teacher recommended that I go to the music store where he teaches, and practice as much as I can in the practice rooms there. It’s not too far from home so I think I’ll take him up on that.

Some things are mussel memory for me, I can read sheet music and I know all the keys to most wind instruments without having to think (product of spending almost all of my childhood playing music). But like riding a bike, you just remember, but you need to keep getting out to have more fun, too.

@dan @skinnylatte came here to appreciate the "mussel memory" in addition to appreciating this as a musician. Cutest typo ever.
