     @mischievoustomato@tsundere.love sideloading has always been a shitty name but it made some sense on consoles and ios because you need to go through tons of bs to do it, on android it's normal and you aren't "sidestepping" anything.
     
     Same way no one calls clicking on exe's sideloading even though microsoft wants you to use their store, similar with macs.

     @iska side loading as been in the lexicon for 2 decades at this point but the real issue is it implies there's a correct and incorrect way to install an apk
