    Here’s another fun fact

Nurses are 84% of all healthcare related murders and are the most likely career to kill you. Who are mostly nurses? Mmmmmm, WAMAN

@Dudebro it’s exactly what it is. It’s because they can’t actually hurt men, so wives beating husbands (slapping, scratching, biting, ect) also go unreported. I’m sure the numbers are actually much higher but the matriarchy teaches men to be ashamed of being abused by a woman.

Yeah I wish they couldn't actually hurt men. Ive known too many men with multiple ER trips from domestic abuse to ever find it funny in shit like anime. I have a zero tolerance for that shit in either direction.

@Dudebro I’ll be fair and say women can’t typically hurt men as much as the reverse, sheer size and strength difference.

But it really is no joke. In a lot of cases women are out of control and in our society are manipulative and cruel towards men and then shame them because they have no consequences.

Yep complete bullshit, honestly you have a 50/50 shot because if you actually beat them sometimes it clicks and they stop and will protect you from the system. I don't recommend this unless its a last resort because I still dont feel its right in either direction but its a shitty situation to be in.

Yeah weapons are a bitch and bare handed its no problem but if she is willing to lay hands on you, she is willing to grab something sharp or big and blunt. Then men arent allowed even a singular backhand to stop the dumb bitchery.

@Dudebro even worse, if you defend yourself STRAIGHT TO JAIL - in family courts there doesn’t even need to be evidence. They can just cry and send you to prison with a felony.

It depends. I've seen cops refrain here. The problem is that even where they don't arrest, they have the authority to confiscate all guns in the residence.

@Dudebro in many jurisdictions, domestic violence calls are actually state level problems. So the cops MUST arrest someone, and the state immediately starts prosecuting as "guilty" even without the "victims consent". it's really fucked.

even if the victim says "actually i lied" the state still goes through with prosecution and you could still be charged

@Dudebro I don’t think it’s worth the risk. If you’re with a violent woman (usually you can tell if they are vindictive) it’s better just to walk away.

Even if they do respect you, sometimes their friends will also chatter in their ear.

Similarly, any party can get a dvro (domestic violence restraining order) on a temporary pending hearing the same day of application, over the counter at the clerks office, rubber stamped by a judge, on affidavit alone without any notice to the affected party, and those orders also require the confiscation / surrendering of weapons without any right to hearing.

@Humpleupagus @Dudebro CA is pretty open/liberal though. In more conservative states they are hardcore about it. A lot of the states treat it as a felony on the first offense. Liberal states aren't as hard core about it (which is weird to me,but apparently LE MENTAL HEALTH? or something like that.) you'd think the liberal states would be more hardcore on it, but I blame the trad wives honestly.

I'm amazed it's legal. Violating the order alone is criminal. So it basically turns a citizen into a parolee without any hearing.

Yeah. Normally, violating an order is mere contempt, which is quasi-criminal, and here they can be enforced that way, but violation is also independently criminal. Because the orders often create additional obligations a party would not otherwise have at law and subjects them to that new "law", I don't see how it's any different than being let out on early release from prison.

@Dudebro @Humpleupagus Very true. Like when I got a DUI like 10 years ago and had to go to classes and realized the "punishment for the crime" actually puts you in the exact place/circumstance that makes you most likely to do it again.

The whole system is a joke. It's not about rehabilitation at all and is more about just punishment and prosecutors getting convictions

Indirectly know of someone who went through that. Single father, so I'm assuming domestic troubles. But even after he got a W in a California court, the cops only returned select weapons. The rest were deemed too-scary-for-California.

Guy was a dick, but it sounded like the cops were assholes too.
