   I'm thinking a lot about the Ruby community in the last days because of the Rubycentral thing and DHH.

   And I'm still seing myself as a part of that community, even though I can't really participate due to my chronic illness.
   Let's begin with DHH, he was always problematic, in fact that is one of the first things I remember when a friend introduced me to the community as we were driving to a barcamp 2007/08 "So yeah, DHH is a dick, but the rest of the community is great!"

     Nowadays that would be a warning sign for me, but I was young and the community I've met over the years was truly great! So queer and leftish, but somehow all the really cool kids went on to other communities and I never really understood why. Well, as a demisexuall I always have this normal-cis-hetero-dude passing while the queer people know who I am.

     I began to feel a bit isolated in the community and in 2018 I poured a lot of energy as one of the core-organizers of EuRuKo to help matters.
