Every iPhone Air review said their number one issue after battery life was the speaker, and I don’t get that impression at aaaall. Modern iPhones must have HomePod-level audio, because this speaker is already so much better than my 12 Pro Max for regular usage. Ignorance is bliss?

@stroughtonsmith The real problem is that the iPhone Air’s speaker effectively isn’t stereo. Take your 12 Pro, play something (ideally a song), and hold it in landscape. It sounds like you’re wearing headphones. Bad headphones, but headphones nevertheless. The Air doesn’t. You won’t notice this in portrait.
