   i'm gonna be distancing myself from this instance and taking care of it. why?
   
   - doomscrolling due to the nat sees on the timeline. seriously, i've grown tired of it after all these years
   - moderation is awful in a public instance setting, i am not as resiliant as :p: and i would rather not have to babysit some of the people on here or wonder if the new sign up is a chomo or something
   - people have told me they have been harassed by people on this timeline and i am not sure i am so comfortable having to live with the fact that something i hosted caused others pain or trouble
   
   that's it. nothing about this instance will change except now the registrations are closed. you can now continue about your days
