     Calling on police to babysit people who threaten murder is cowardice dressed up as “de-escalation.” If someone believes words = violence, the duty isn’t only on law enforcement — it’s on that person to adult: shut up, get help, accept consequences. Society should refuse to infantilize violent threats: strip status, lose jobs, get banned, get held to civil and criminal standards. Accountability isn’t just a cop’s job.
