   A state funeral fit for a VP.
   A newly-announced purge in the military of people who had anything negative to say about him.
   Are we being told the truth about his real importance to Trump's deep state?

     @threetails I don't think we are being told the truth about his true political power, but i don't think it goes the way you seem to believe. Kirk seems to get a lot of media and government attention not because of what he was, but because of what he represents.

     He was a media figure, and that's why he is revered in media circles that have been clobbered into bothsideism by right-wing propaganda. He was also the bigot billionaires' boy, showering him with money in order to spew their bile better than they ever could. Finally, he was very racist, which warrants the full pomp of the current US administration.

     Nothing about any of these hints at a supposedly larger power he would somehow have held. Or rather, his whole life has been about pretending to hold a larger power than he actually did.

     My first thought was that he was simply considered an expendable sacrifice for a false flag MAGA crackdown. I no longer believe this. I believe this was a genuine attack and they are SCARED because someone whose importance we are NOT being told the truth about is no longer there.

     Why else would they be cracking down on talking about him? No one is allowed to speak ill of a slaughtered king after all. His true political power is at the heart of all this shallow journalism.

     The media insists on fixing his "debate" style as a hagiography worthy of Thomas Aquinas. The exalted language. The deeply reverential tone for Kirk in media and government and the extreme fear our ruling class seems to suddenly have for their own safety.
