@nixCraft I watched a presentation from a SIEM vendor where they were testing various LLMs for decoding BASE64 text in Powershell commands. The best one they found was 97% accurate but the other 3% of the time it made up text completely different from the input text. When I suggested that a Commodore 64 could do it 100% of the time for a millionth the cost, he said that they're looking forward to the LLM cost going down sometime in the future. 🤷♂️
