     @slash :blobcateyes2: you know the dynamic is meant to go right up in your face right. you're meant to eat the microphone.
     
     an inline booster (fethead/cloudlifter) will turn it closer to a condenser, sure, and i do have/use one of those, but they're meant to be crammed right up on the thing they're recording.

     @icedquinn the interface was last week's assignment, which turned out to be a pointless acquisition until I found out about today's assignment (a preamp, the interface doesn't have the power to boost the dynamic mic) and now the phantom power feature the interface has is useful.
