I keep seeing takes that political violence has no place in the US. The entire history of the US has been nothing but political violence.

Political violence *shouldn’t* have any place in the US, but it DOES and the far right uses that fact to great effect.

As long as one side claims the sole right to use political violence, shit isn’t going to change. Shit only changes when those who perpetuate the violence start to recalibrate their risk that violence may come to them
