     DEI will get us killed.

     Buddy at a Big 3 Auto told me they got a design where the airbag would basically deploy out of what a consumer could perceive as a shelf on the dash and might put shit, creating projectiles.

     Called safety and they said "Big no no"

     It got brought up in a meeting with the Chief Engineer (mid 40's woman) who said "No, it's good."

     Got a call the next day and told to never disagree with the Chief Engineer in a public forum.

     Deleted all his files and retired the next day.
