ADHD edition toot. :ablobcatrave:
I have to be careful with my spending. I know I have a bit more "breathing space" now, as the 4-weekly vet costs for Arwen have ended. But my brain is in an impulsive and hyper focused ADHD :blahaj_is_fine: drive and it keeps thinking "it's fine, it will be OK, you need this...ow you need this too". I know it will cause me some troubles if I don't recognize it, and furthermore, deal with it. Not just acknowledge it but also put a stop to it.
My ADHD impulsive overdrive caused some issues in the past. It's been OK lately, but with all that happened, I think I lost the spoons to deal with the impulsiveness... I need energy to put a stop to my hyper impulsive brain.
So, by writing it out here, by sharing this part of what is happening right now, I hope that it will help me to feel more accountable for my deeds. I know I need to stop it. I know that I *can* stop it. But I need spoons... And I need some courage as I am rather ashamed of not being able to control this part of myself. :blahaj_not_shonks:
I've taken the first steps. I realized it, I acknowledged it, and I shared it.
Next steps: find the spoons/strength to fight against it when I feel the urge again...
This is definitely one of the parts of my ADHD that I have always struggled hard with. People think it's "just you" not being able to handle your money. But that driven impuls that is firing all synapses in your brain, that's giving you the sweet rush of endorphins when you click that button...
Let's get this under control. I know I can do it. 💪🏻
