@4d3fect @etherdiver I've used it to edit pitch before. Sometimes I decide the original vocals were better without it. There are other ways to correct occasional errors in pitch, and I rarely use any now. One note out of 10 songs, maybe. I kind of like the pitch variation. I blame Lou Reed.

However, the robotic over-corrected pitch correction sound worked for a song about robots. I'll draw my line in the sand here.

@etherdiver there's also the thing that happens when a producer or artist discovers a "new" tool after which every subsequent release has to show that they've got it and are using it.

@4d3fect Totally fair and I have no issue with that at all. Of course we all click with some effects and find others grating and ugly.

@etherdiver I get you. If it's being used and I don't notice it, then there's no argument of course. Perhaps this is a long way of saying I don't like its use as an effect.

@4d3fect The thing is, when used as intended, it sounds like someone staying in pitch 😅

Used as an effect (a la T-Pain), I can take it or leave it -- one of many ways to do a robot voice. I will say, I have no issue with people liking what they like/dislike.

I guess I don't even really care if you think it's "unfair" or "wrong" to use it because "You Should Just Stay In Pitch!" or even "You Should Be Okay with Pitch Fluctuation, It's Natural" and like... okay! But where does that end?

@etherdiver I hate hearing it. There, I admit it. IDC if it "exists", just don't like the way it sounds.
