You might have an active Home timeline, unfortunately, #Mastodon instances won't keep all messages. So you might lose/miss some of them.
#Fedilab introduced the ability to cache your Home timeline in the background. This is also useful if you have a weak connection, the app will read them later from cache. #FedilabTips

The app fetches the last 400 messages. It makes inserts and updates. But yes when they're out of scope, the information is gathered only when opening details. One solution would be to force a cache validity. -

@apps How do you distinguish between "Post is missing from the timeline because the server didn't include it" and "Post is missing from the timeline because the original author deleted it"?
To put it another way, is the app inadvertently showing posts that have been deleted by the original author?
Same question, but for edits. If you cache a post in the timeline at version 1, and it's subsequently edited to version 2, does the app show version 1?
