    Now, we will work on the quoting feature when composing with #Fedilab.

    - We will allow to set its default value in profile settings: anyone can quote, only followers or no one.

    - When composing, this value could be changed and will be available only for messages having the public or quiet visibility.

      Could you disable "Use cache" in settings Interface. Just for tests?

      If I could wish for one thing to be changed in Fedilab, it's bug 738 (timeline gaps). This is so annoying, as you need to be careful to spot the gap and restart the app every time you encounter one. While reading my timeline in the morning, I have to restart the app about 8-10 times. After that, I check 2-3 accounts that are especially important to me to see if I missed something (which I often do). :neocat_sad:

      @HurricaneWeasel
      In Settings > Timelines, have you enabled "auto fetch missing messages". If yes, that can create jumps when scrolling "too fast".

      That helped. :blobcathappy: No gaps, but the timeline got a little more bumpy. I can see it loading posts every now and then while scrolling up. I have to be careful not to scroll up too fast, so it doesn't push the new posts down instead of up, but it's still way better than restarting the app multiple times. Thank you!

      @HurricaneWeasel
      When starting the app will fetch more recent messages and messages around your last position. Then it has to rebuild the timeline when scrolling. These data can be from cache or from instance server.

      I have. But I thought with home cache activated, the messages should already be stored on the phone, so there would be no reason to fetch more. :neocat_thinking: Or is the app looking for edits?
