Having had personal experience working at the #NMNH and its museum support center, I can tell you that it is very much anti-Black and I have a whole documented saga wherein I am attempting to demand accountability from the white men in NMNH's anthropology department whose actions directly harmed me.

   I will also say that when I visited the #NationalMuseumoftheAmericanIndian, I witnessed white people speaking over and even interrupting Indigenous people during our tour.

     (1/?) I think it's important to note that among the Smithsonian Institutions that the authoritarians have a problem with, it is specifically the #NationalMuseumofAfricanAmericanHistoryandCulture (NMAAHC).

     Mostly just that one. Most of the other SI museums hold up narratives of white supremacy just fine. You don't see them decrying the #NationalMuseumofNaturalHistory as "woke."

     If you want to support the Smithsonian during this time, it is imperative that you be specific.
