     @BGMcKay @lina Because it "covers up"* the fact that their laundry still stinks because the machine has mold in it or their BO was so bad or whatever.

     * The whole covers-up thing doesn't work for me. It just smells like a disgusting blend of two different stinks. But apparently it fools enough ppl into thinking their stuff is clean. 🤷
