For years I have had inaccurate comments put in my medical file by doctors in regards to causes and treatments for pain.
This has resulted in inadequate or improper treatment by other medical professionals who chose to discard my experience over the ill-informed comments.
After considerable time and effort I eventually got actual experts to address this and have my records adjusted.
One even adding "he likely knows more than you about pain, listen to him."
Advocating for ourselves is hard.
