@neil @CaptainMalu all major email apps default to not showing images for this reason. I’ve also had the ICO describe this tracking as “industry standard” after we complained about them doing unconsented tracking in their own emails
@Synchro @neil another example for why the term "industry standard" actually means garbage.
Just because a lot of companies are doing one thing or using one thing doesn't mean it's good or even allowed.
