But the next civilization will be built by leaders and thinkers, not by people shitting in their basement with guns and Alex Jones sponsored gold certificates and a grocery store's worth of canned food.      Decades ago I would've said such things would be someone's duty to attempt; but now, when it seems like we are hurdling towards a civilizational death-spiral, attempting to take over institutions of this culture instead of creating the foundations of what comes next seems folly.

     @AidanTTIerian Yes and no. Anti-intellectualism as a social movement with associated flat earth conspiracies or other such denial of reality suits the complaint far more than participation in modern academia, at the largest and most common scope: nothing more than a system of credentialism.
     Also the German education and university system fundamentally different than the American one.
