     @kaia Weil du durch die Verspätung des ICEs mehr Aufenthaltszeit im Zug als im Flugzeug in Anspruch nimmst. Die unzureichende Klimatisierung und den schlechten Service gibt es schließlich nicht geschenkt!

     @kaia fliegen ist einfach effizienter als Bahn in vielen Fällen. Dazu kommt dass die Bahn ein katastrophales Staatsunternehmen ist…

     @cell @kaia yeah, shinkansen is just better than flying in many cases. it helps that japan is a 1 dimensional country and not a 2d one like germany

     @lain @kaia flying is cheaper than shinkansen for Tokyo <-> Osaka, but takes longer once you factor in getting to the airport/check-in/security/etc.
     
     of course, for super budget travelers, there’s the bus..
