   @udongle yes friend, at least a couple of years ago with pleroma you didn't actually have to upload the same image 10,000 times, you could just upload it once and put the same media id 10,000 times in the post api call. there has been updates to pleroma since so not sure if that still works though

     @niggy @udongle That still works as long as the image was uploaded by you, last I checked, except that there are caps on upload sizes. Doing <img> tags in an HTML post does not count towards the upload limit, though, I think.
     
     I think the only update to that piece is that you have to have been the attributedTo for the image that was uploaded, because the IDs are sequential.
