   do any of you have organizations in your city that help people install Linux on old unused computers to give the hardware a new life? would love a link to their website!

   also curious about what people end up using the machines for in practice, especially if they’re used by non-programmers

     i’m especially curious to hear about efforts and resources to help people install linux that really centre the needs of the user, especially for non-programmers

     I feel like linux nerds (i’m one of them!) have a very well deserved bad reputation of exaggerating how easy it is to use Linux (“you don’t need photoshop, just use the GIMP!”🙄) and I’d love to see examples of people doing it in a better way
