@SuperSnekFriend @Aether Ok, a TL;DR: Self-hosting is a problem because it's individualist. The future is "Community-hosting".
I don't think he realizes that what he says about community-hosting is literally a description of the cloud but with fancier words :cirno_facepalm:

@SuperSnekFriend @Aether he actually brings up a good point in this article: self-hosted systems can't interact very efficiently. sharing file with friends, for example, isn't as seamless as Drive or MEGA. he brings up an interesting model of *community-hosting*:

that would be interesting, though I think self-hosting is fairly accessible already.
