@lrt_writes How, exactly, goes that help with finding info when all of the web with "not child safe" topics will require verifying one's age with face scans and IDs, else the site face massive fines?

@lrt_writes The way things are going, "not visiting a site that requires that" means not sharing ANY of the actual news.
Hence, it will be exchanged on the deep web and require a TOR browser.
Thus, I need to learn how to do that before I NEED to know how to do that - because I might not be able to GET that info to learn when I need to use it.

@hellomiakoda well, it hides your location, but you're correct, it can't hide a face scan. I just wouldn't visit a site that required that. Creepy.

@hellomiakoda @lrt_writes as of now the ID requirements are different in different jurisdictions, and some sites that implement them do so dependent on where they track your connection to, so using a VPN to appear to be connecting from a jurisdiction that doesn’t have those requirements does bypass the verification on those sites. It might not be a long-term solution, but it’s effective for now. Or so I hear
