Assuming web is short of word Wilde web aka the stuff in browsers where as internet is that + ftp,SSH, VoIP calls and the rest of the stuff
Like internet is network of networks and web is a thing that internet is used for
But does any of this matter in context of everyday speech? Lmao nokaia likes this. -

Although I suspect this may be a trap... 😬😅
Internet is a network where a ridiculous amount of computers/servers are somehow able to contact eachother for whatever purpose necessary, such as emails, file transfer, media streaming, etc
Some of these computers will serve you "web pages" with content you can read or interact with, like news, blogs, banking, lexica, etc
There is no strict line separating the two. The web is a part of the internet, but not necessarily the other way around.

fundamentally there's no difference
the OSI model is an abstraction we invented to make some distinctions about categorising electrical impulses

@kaia very coarsely, web = http(s), which is a subset of the protocols used on the internet. Among the many protocols, the only one still in widespread use are mail protocols, irc, ssh and then a long of tails of old ones still barely in use and some new ones chugging along with a small but devoted community of aficionados (e.g. gemini, which has nothing to do with the AI thing)
