   @EC_DIGIT @EC_OSPO Ok so here's one case where it's a bad idea beyond the usual ecological arguments.

   What if someone is trans and doesn't want their deadname in the Blockchain transactions forever?

   Because it's hard enough for some Devs to get their deadname removed from software contributions in places where it's possible but projects don't want to.

   You can't update a Blockchain ledger. It's the whole point of it.
