      @dsm No you see actually the reason everyone is a bunch of flouridated neighbour-cattle is that mcdondals doesn't fry their fries in beef tallow anymore. No other explanation make sense.

      @stelo You're doing your pan frying wrong if it coming out like microwave bacon.
      Do it right: low and slow for maximum grease release. I also prefer chewy unless it's going on a sandwich. People who turn their bacon to charcoal should be shot (with love in our hearts we will let God sort the sheep from the goats).

      @pwm Probably my other favorite thing about frying bacon is ending up with the lard . Microwaving bacon produced the best quality lard in my experience. and imo? microwave bacon isn't worse than pan fried?

      @pwm The key thing for the best bacon is to get it thick cut. I've only had bacon twice since moving to Islamland unfortunately. It was thin-cut but using a very low heat in my cast iron did the trick (I don't own a microwave)

      I agree 100% on low and slow: even start it in a cold pan. The quality of bacon I generally got in American diners was revolting, always overcooked.
