  The Transit app offers an easy way to see departure times, and real-time transit data. It also has settings that allow you to customize how much walking and waiting you're willing to do, as well as combine transit modes like trains and biking.

  @jhpot I do like (and pay for) Transit but the free plan can be painful if you're near a transit hub. Sometimes there are so many routes passing through an area, my wife (on the free plan) can't see the bus she needs. I think they limit to the first 5 or something?
