   @carlton I would say commercial conferences are focused on the product, while a community conference is focused on the people.

     Hey folks, if you had to explain — to someone not in tech — the difference between a community conference, like a DjangoCon or a PyCon, and commercial conferences*, how would you phrase it?

     (* I have a couple of examples in mind, but what examples would you give?)
