@phnt nah I'm good
I don't express it too often but the sheer joy I had from Linux and learning it in my first years is simply gone, dissipated. I've been rocking the same arch+i3+qutebrowser setup for over 5 years now, once in a blue moon I rice a few little details or install a new utility but I simply feel too old for ripping out the floorboards out of how I do computers when I'm content and used to what I have. it's barely a side interest at this point

@grips Same, I made something that works really great for me, sometimes I fix a bug I made or implement some small thing and that's about it. There's no joy anymore in finding interesting projects or configuring stuff since it's all gone now. Last week I ripped what was left of KDE from my system and somehow that broke dark mode detection for some apps. No idea how, no desire to figure it out since I tried and it lead me to XDG portals which is a cancer that I don't want to ever deal with.

@grips @phnt Same. I think it's just that, once you've known this environment long enough, sense of discovery disappears, while bullshit fatigue starts creeping in.
Still better than Windoozing around and its meme features they creep in because they have no idea how to stay relevant

@vokainen099 @grips Honestly If I were to try to switch from Windows to Linux in $current_year, I would probably stay on Windows. Too much junk to deal with from the start and the only DEs that work (xfce, Cinnamon) aren't that popular.

@phnt @grips Unfortunately Windows is full of junk too.
But doubt your average Linux Minter/Ubuntuer will have that much trouble
Hey, and now there's Pewdiepie giving tech advice :airilol:
