     @Sulla_Felix it's not a *horrible* idea because mistakes do happen, so being of the mindset that you should be absolutely positive about what you are firing on in the middle of the night had reason.
     
     I have not done any drills on target acquisition when woken from the dead of sleep, but I bet it would be wild.

     @sickburnbro It's wild. Even the guys who do the self-defense stuff - the sort who always say, "Well, you should still try to retreat and always avoid trouble, etc."- will say that *of course* you just execute someone who breaks in to your home.
