     @be on Instagram, if you paste a link in your post it doesn’t work. There is just no link. People would have to copy and paste the link, and it is hard to do so in the post. So people, when promoting something: a product, an event, a signup, paste the link in their profile page instead. Initially it was just the one link that IG lets you do (like homepage) but a few services sprouted up like linktree, which provides one link, that you can use, that links to.. all the links you want to promote. It’s convoluted and bad and the standard somehow
