Every time a proprietary program is installed your computing freedom gets hurt.
Although the damage would be limited if the program is ran only once, outside of reverse engineering for free software replacement work, has proprietary software ever been installed to be run only once before deletion in the history of the Earth?
If you insist on throwing part of your freedom away, at least work out how to do so without installing steam.
