   On my way to #GDragon soundcheck.

   To be honest I don't feel very cute right now and it's hard to smile (which is a general issue these days, not just today).

   But I'm still going to have fun, damn it.

     Going to have a coffee and cake on the way, so it seems like a good time to photograph the current #skz #manicure from #MittyNails

     Based on one of the concepts from Hollow photoshoots.

     The nail tech did some beautiful work with brush strokes and stippling and fine details. It had the exact air of the abandoned building overgrown with vines etc.

     But then we made the fatal mistake of choosing a gloss topcoat instead of matte, and most of the lovely texture got lost under the gloss.

     We'll know better next time.

     Dammit I forgot to bring my own spare bottle cap for the water bottle, and this is one of those venues where they confiscate water bottle caps, the fuckers.

     ANYWAY.

     Despite having plenty of time, I managed to catch the wrong tram, then had to powerwalk for 15 minutes and dropped into my seat, out of breath, 2 minutes before soundcheck was scheduled to start.

     Of course it didn't actually start until 25 minutes later, so it was fine.

     But I could have done without the rush, and would have liked to grab some water before soundcheck started.

     He was soooo cute and tiny and I want to squish him.

     The people on either side of me were also there on their own. They'd both been to the Sydney show(s) and will be going to the 2nd Melbourne show tomorrow too.

     I still feel a bit like a fake fan but!! I gave them each a bracelet and one of them took a photo of our bracelets together, that I'll post in a bit when I can find it on Instagram.

     I think I *might* buy a light stuck, they're very cute.

     I had thought of going home and having dinner between the soundcheck and the performance, but nope! Not allowed to leave the venue and re-enter later. Sigh.

     (I don't know for sure that they're VIP exclusive, I was late and rushing and barely stopped to acknowledge them being handed to me)

     @glitchontwitch It is a really lovely light stick. The petals are white with glitter speckles, and the centre is yellow. The petals can all change colour and be on or off independently. I like it in the rainbow state best. It comes in a box with artificial turf behind it. And you can buy a separate holder that looks like a flowerpot.

     I keep thinking about some things a man behind me said to his friends before the show. He said that, even though he's Korean, he doesn't really like k-pop, because it's a bit gay. But BigBang and GD are an exception. It's okay to like them, apparently.

     TOO BAD and POWER went to the people sitting on either side of me.

     G DRAGON went to one of the chefs at the nearby Korean bakery, who found me sitting in the concourse between soundcheck and show, sat and talked with me for a bit, and gave me a hug (!) before we re-entered the arena for the performance.
