I have to wonder: where are the entrepreneurs? It seems like all the levers of industry are being held by insane death cultists who insist on "advancing" things more and more and cringe at the idea of making something people actually want. The automotive industry has many examples of this; it seems like every single brand trends more and more luxurious, every new car retails for six figures at least. Meanwhile, Henry Ford made his cars affordable so that he could sell them to his own workers and became a massive success. Could you imagine if there was a new car that sold for $9,000 brand new? I'm certain it's possible, I'm always told how much money these industries save by playing their import/export games, and they don't all need touchscreens and subscription features, but nobody wants to make a minimalist vehicle with only necessary features, they'll load on all these peripherals and overcharge you for shit you don't even want.
