The Wikipedia page for the ext2 file system (yes, ext2!) claims that the maximum length of a file name is 255 bytes.
Can someone tell if this includes the full path or only the fhe file name _itself_?
I truly wonder what the real path limit is...

@felsqualle@manitu.social I believe that's the filename itself, and the path limit is 4096, you may be able to check with getconf NAME_MAX / getconf PATH_MAX /Not sure for such a old kernel, though but it's worth checking
Oh, and to be more precise, I'm talking about a combination of ext2 and Kernel 2.2...
