We watched K-Pop Demon Hunters. Highly recommended!

Ok story executed to perfection: Great fun, great character dynamic, great animation, great voice acting, *fantastic* soundtrack.

Nobody makes animated movies like Sony right now. Seriously. Disney and Dreamworks are not even close.

As of a few hours ago, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ejae has a Wikipedia page!

Her range and precision are absolutely incredible, but she seems to mostly write and produce songs. I want to find more of her singing.

Is anyone clued in on Korean artists and can help?

        Ejae
Kim Eun-jae (born December 6, 1991), also known by her stage name as Ejae (stylized in all caps), is a Korean-American singer-songwriter and record producer. She is known for her work with Red Velvet, aespa, Le Sserafim, Nmixx, Twice, Kard, and other South Korean artists. She is also known for providing the singing voice of the character Rumi in the 2025 film KPop Demon Hunters. Career Kim started out as a trainee for SM Entertainment. Eventually, she then moved to the US. Kim transitioned to songwriting. Her biggest break came when she co-wrote "Psycho" for Red Velvet, specifically its topline. That song went on to be a major success, and was certified gold in the US. It led to more opportunities to work with SM Entertainment. In 2019, she was featured on the soundtrack of the K-drama Woman of 9.9 Billion. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kim co-produced "Drama" for aespa. She also helped co-produce the Girl Crush K-pop Vocals sample pack for producing k-pop songs. In 2022, she got to work with Red Velvet once again on the lead single "Birthday". In...

When I search "EJAE" on YouTube I get one demo recording for an Aespa track, and the rest is Demon Hunters or irrelevant results.

A profile on EJAE from last year:

      koreaboo.com/stories/former-sm…

Two stand-out tracks are Red Velvet’s “Psycho,” which became a massive hit in South Korea and internationally, and Taeyeon‘s “Sorrow.”

[ . . . ] Three years later, the Red Velvet track still holds the record for most streams on Spotify US among SM artists, and it even is eligible for an RIAA gold certification with 500,000 units sold in the States.

Kid's favorite song is "Golden", and I see what he sees in it, but what's stuck in my head is the "done done done" from "How It's Done".

      This is why:

Sony's output doesn't have a house style, takes huge risks, and is therefore super inconsistent. They put out a full range from junk to brilliance.

After listening to the OST about 50 more times, "How It's Done" is still the most fun, especially because hearing it conjures up the images of the fantastic fight choreography.

But "Your Idol" and "What It Sounds Like" are the heavy hitters of the soundtrack. "My voice without the lies; This is what it sounds like" is a line that packs so much Stuff.
