   Everytime I see videos of a squad of slavs getting glassed by $20 drones filled with semtex I think of this quote.

     Its always been that way though. Young men picture themselves running and fighting through a battlefield. They never imagine the likely "swiss cheesed by random mortar in a shallow hole" scenario.

     @Shadowman311 They used to say War was an inevitability, but a "human" one, like part of our nature, we used to fight wars over all human reasons, from petty squabbles to real ideas.
     Well they just dehumanized that too.
     There's never going to be a new Sgt. York, no new Red Baron, no aces or war heroes, just more bodies whose names were scrubbed clean and forgotten about by a grenade strapped to a remote controlled FPV drone.
