     I was late to work today because the second I woke up I was out there doing toad care to make sure no one was drowning and everyone had platforms in pool 1 and 2 to get up on and forgot to eat or get ready until about ten minutes before I was supposed to leave the house

     Pool 2 is literally crawling with fully legged up tadpoles now, I’ve been moving them to pool 3

     There are tiny toads all around the puddle!! The puddle tadpoles have achieved toadlet status!!!

     🚨🚨🚨 pool 1 has three with arms and legs, and I have set up pool 3 which has a gravel ramp and branches with leaves to make it easier for them to get through this last phase safely

     I *think* I saw arms on one of the puddle tadpoles this morning when I went out to check on and feed everyone!! it swam away before I could be sure but it definitely had a different shape to its face, much more pointed than round

     Pool 1 tadpoles are also way more chill about me being around and get excited in case I’m going to feed them, and the second I put food in the pool they’ve all activated. Pool 2 tadpoles got regularly fed and looked at when they were still puddle tadpoles but now that they’re in the pool they freak out when I come by and don’t immediately notice the food when I feed them

     It’s deeply fascinating to see the culture difference between pool 1 and pool 2. Pool 1 tadpoles prefer to hang out on leaves and sticks I put in the water for them and pool 2 tadpoles mostly stay at the bottom, only coming up to nibble food. They’re at roughly the same stage of development, the only difference is that pool 1 was established almost a week before 2
