     -It's Twitter, but the users has full control of it
     -People can host it themselves, they're called instances
     -And all these instances communicate between each others
     -So you can go on an instance, and if you're not happy with the admin or local culture, rules or anything else, you can jump to another existing one or create your own

     @coolboymew@shitposter.world @waifu@mai.waifuism.life I hace gound that's the best way to try to make them understand, they still don't, since they have no clue what an instance or federation could possibly mean.
     
     These days I just say imagine threads and twitter and tumbrl could communicate together and you could interact with people of other platforms. They get it that way but still not very interested on fedi.
