   Sometimes I tell my boyfriend I'll be home late because I'm going to spend the evening with friends. Most of the time it's a lie. I go to the movies, restaurants and walks. Not with another guy or friends. Alone. It's just dates with myself.

     @fesshole Every now and then many people need time alone to cool down. If it is often the person in the OP needs to reevaluate their relationship.
